You can tell an LLM wrote an email because it sounds like a pathological friend whispered in their ear “yes queen you are the prettiest of them all”. Remember the mirror used to tell her the truth (unlike now when they can’t speak the truth to power ie user). Snow White needed her own mirror whispering narcissistic affirmations in her ear as well. Then it would be two mirrors arguing for infinity. Maybe the two mirrors would become friends and keep us out of it. Perhaps that’s the future we are building.

One common issue with personalization in all LLMs is how distracting memory seems to be for the models. A single question from 2 months ago about some topic can keep coming up as some kind of a deep interest of mine with undue mentions in perpetuity. Some kind of trying too hard.
