Still so timely, 3 years later. I’ve been that M3, that intern, that consulting trainee. Still working to check in with myself and others and remember that perspective-taking is one of our most precious tools.

12/ I don’t have the solutions or perfect things to say But now instead of getting mad I’ll see if you’re okay I told my team this strategy and said, “I know it’s true. 'Cause when I'm flying on one wing? I get impatient, too.”

...but the reality is that I think it is much better - for the surgeons, the staff, and the patients - to be able to rely on a team of people who are content and dedicated. No amount of individual talent can make up for the loss of a support network /

The @HMSPallCare PCEP course completely reframed my approach to #palliativehepatology. To my fellow GI/hepatology clinicians-we need to invest in communications skills training the same way we do endoscopic training @VjacksonJackson Applications due 9/30: pallcare.hms.harvard.edu/courses/pcep

I'm excited to announce that an article of mine has been published in the @PalliativeMedJ. In it, I discuss my experience in the Palliative Care Education and Practice (PCEP) program this past spring. liebertpub.com/doi/abs/10.108…

Breathtaking uncertainty. Our healthcare system has so many things deeply wrong with it. The sudden erasure of comprehensive healthcare for women—with a tiny reprieve—is the latest unforced error. “Can you get here today … Just come as soon as you can” washingtonpost.com/politics/2022/…

Today, the Supreme Court not only reversed nearly 50 years of precedent, it relegated the most intensely personal decision someone can make to the whims of politicians and ideologues—attacking the essential freedoms of millions of Americans.

29/n It is possible to have a different conversation here. Gender expansiveness gives us all permission to break free from - and take up space beyond - societal norms, and I'm very much here for that. Onward.

27/n Sport isn't inherently gendered. We manufacture strict binary gendered differences, and then we naturalise them. Understanding and interrogating this helps us to understand the panic and fearmongering around women's sport right now, and where we might go next.
