Had a DM this week from a midwife whose unit has just been downgraded to ‘inadequate’ by CQC - disappointed? No! Relieved that issues she (& other colleagues) had tried to get acknowledged for years had finally been recognised…. & hopeful that change would follow. #bokenculture

Someone much wiser than me told me today that ‘…to make change, sometimes you need to cause a row…’ - in patient safety, change often only happens when people are prepared to challenge the status quo & say unpopular things. Grateful to know some great people who do just this 🙏

@Ryanair got delayed 30mins yesterday LTN-RMU your staff are always fantastic even when I made the mistake of booking the Benidorm Bus (BHX-ALC) one Friday night and the flight was 80% hen/stag party. I’ve never had an issue keep up the good work
