A2: I ask the question “if you won the lottery, what would you do?” Often the answer is “travel” or “quit my job”. But my hope is always that they say “exactly what I’m doing now, because I love it!” Which is exactly what @angiefpayne said in her interview!!! #txed #rockstar

@angiefpayne I love the part about going with the flow and asking what you want to know. I was in an interview and the AP came in late because there was an issue in the kindergarten hallway. I like asking what support they provide for new teachers. #txed

A4: Interviewee- Be yourself. Be vulnerable. Speak highly of your strengths. Don’t be bashful, sell yourself Interviewer- Don’t be too rigid on questions. Go with the flow. Ask what you want to know. Help them out when appropriate and reassure them often. (It’s scary!) #txed

@CoachPullano No one prepared me for that! Why do so many people cry?!?

#txed A4: show up 15 minutes early. No more, no less. Make a positive impression on the secretary/office workers. Dress to impress. Redirect every question to be about kids and how you can best serve them. Have questions for them prepared. Don’t cry (so many people cry……..)

@angiefpayne “If a song had to play every time you walked through a door, what song would you pick?” Fun fact. @DrJeremyGlenn found out I was asking that question in interviews and had to come ask us if it was relevant. Gotta see if you can process a situation and think on your feet! #txed

A1: One where I wasn’t even chosen. But I was tasked with creating something productive! I also was asked the most awkward interview question, thanks @CoachPullano. That interview grew me even though it wasn’t chosen.

Today we surprised our interns with a classroom sprinkle! We gave them baskets full of of the essential items needed to start a classroom and we enjoyed cake together! We can’t express how proud we are of these 7 beautiful people! They’re off to great places! 💜 @granburyisd
