Perfectly imperfect mom of 3, wife, and educator. I am a voracious learner, outdoor enthusiast, and a Montanan at heart. ❤️

@angierickbeil We were trying to find the town of Alzada, MT. It was listed on the map as being right inside the border. But there was no town. Just a post office, gas station, and a bar that advertised cheap drinks and lousy food. It also advertised topless Tuesday’s. Classy place! 😂😂😂

After Devils Tower we found a little place to have lunch. I mean little town, 300 people. The food was delicious! Then we were off to Montana just so we could say we’ve been in another state!

It was a beautiful night for this girl to participate in her first, hopefully annual, neighborhood kid triathlon. Grateful for our awesome neighbors who organized the event and all the kids who participated. These are childhood days she will never forget. ❤️

One of my favorite parts of getting my classroom ready is collecting wonderful children's literature to teach expectations and routines while setting a positive learning culture. The list grows every year. #backtoschool

Spot on @joboaler! Thank you for your inspirational ideas. Excited to talk big ideas with my team this year. @msrotvold this is exactly the PLC direction we were talking about.
Jo Boaler@joboaler

#ElemMathChat The most successful teachers we have studied are those that teach to big ideas instead of methods. Work out the big ideas in your grade, and for each one find rich, deep activities. The methods come out as you teach to big ideas, that give enduring understanding.
