Best Olympics uniform was made for Lithuania for the 1992 Barcelona Olympics. This was their first Olympic games after gaining independence from the Soviet Union. Designed by Issey Miyake. Fabric was cut and sewn using heat, not shears or sewing machines.

From the Archive (1/3) - 2013 football strip concepts — Greece v Japan. Experiments with combining designs with AI (plus a lot of Photoshop). Interesting to see these designs “come to life” in on-pitch scenarios instead of flat vector drawings. 🇬🇷🇯🇵

The problem with these kit articles (like in the QT from the BBC) is that, whilst appearing informative, it just cuts out bits of history that won’t get the clicks - no big shirt innovations between names on shirts & Nigeria 18 is it? These 9 shirts want a word:

@angt34 I mean, tell that to Puma. 😜 God I’d love an N18 doc. Because I fully appreciate its importance, but I believe underneath it all, lies a fascinating story about how it was engineered to BE that culturally important shift for shirts. Just need to get that doc out that shows it!

@ChatShirt It definitely felt like there was a shift, like you say creatives on social were kind of showing what they wanted to see. But "cracking the code" isn't easy, it's about hitting a spot that feels authentic and resonates with the audience. Once the formula is out everyone can do it
