Adam Curtis is interesting because he's a study in what if you were completely competent but always stopped thinking about any given subject around 1-3 steps too early

Also useful to think about wars USA has fought in the last century. How many were just? WWII + Korea certainly. Gulf War I. WWI was unjust overall but our entry was probably just. Vietnam became unjust but I don't think it was necessarily so. Afghanistan was just at the start.

@BlackCasebook @scrunkoelbunko . @BlackCasebook have you read a walk through hell? 12 issues from 2018/9, I think it definitely has a certain maturity to it compared to 90s/00s Ennis. Which isn’t to stay his juvenile sensibilities don’t get their chance to shine through, but that’s part of the experience tbh

I’ve compared him to Tarantino in the past, but Garth Ennis is really the Stephen King of comics: one of the most gifted storytellers in his medium, truly insightful about human nature and great at portraiture, but politically/thematically superficial and (often) tonally juvenile
