@TODOROTl I'm saying that we as humans do not know what the ultimate truth is. We use things like free speech and science to understand the world.

@TODOROTl Look at history. It's not an assumption but more of a precaution with an understanding of what has happened in the past. "Pronouns have jack shit to do with people's opinions" is a statement made under your worldview, not everyone has the same one.

@TODOROTl It doesn't affect only one person once you put laws in place which require people to refer to someone a certain way. You think an argument over something like this isn't debatable or doesn't make sense, but why do you get to make that claim? We are apes not gods of truth.

@TODOROTl If certain things are "not debatable" how are we supposed to reach conclusions on the truth of something?Furthermore, WHO gets to decide what is and isn't debatable?

@TODOROTl I'm not assuming, but can you guarantee that it wouldn't happen? Everything is up for debate and argument. For example, how do political movements happen? It is often through speech(that is often considered offensive by mainstream) and convincing people who don't agree.

@TODOROTl That's a dangerous precedent. What would you think if the government was telling you how to speak on something you disagreed with? You're only seeing it from your side. Policies and people's views can be wrong, free speech allows for discourse to learn the truth.

@TODOROTl Are you ok with a government that can tell you how to speak? His point is free speech is necessary for a free society to function. It's how people with different opinions communicate. He has also said in interviews he would refer to a student by their preferred pronoun.

Kneeling was never about the flag and honestly if youre a fanatic about the American flag youre probably racist. I'll put it like this. If I was broken down in the middle of nowhere at 3am and a pickup w/the American flag waving pulled up,I wouldnt be relieved. I'd be a bit shook
