@dikasmusha its not. The original anime series pushed the the series beyond the source material. Its animated very well but thats its. Everything else is dogshit aesthetically and thematically. The major is not supposed to be a goofball even if the source material says so. Its wrong

@animetummytouch It's a direct adaptation of the manga so it's more cartoony and not going for strict realism, but calling it shit is a serious overstatement. It is head and shoulders above other anime being released today.

Sorry to rain on everyones parade but the new ghost in the shell looks like shit and ruins the serious atmosphere and aesthetic of the original anime series. One look at the early 2000s matrix era aesthetic and you will be snapped back to reality.
