Don't stand behind Macron, he is toast. The French democracy will survive if the United Left (that includes the SD's as the main component) wins the parliamentary election. Macron's last service would be to direct his (few) supporters to vote Left!

@florianederer Terrible news. Gary was so genuine, funny and authentic. My favorite thing about him was that, despite his incredible success, he engaged with everyone in the room, whether they were senior or junior, academic or not. He will be deeply missed.

Gary Charness, one of the most prolific experimental economists, has passed away.
He was a terrific researcher, a gifted teacher, and an irreverent free thinker.
Despite not publishing any papers before his 50th birthday he published over 100 articles.

@geowu Robin Hogarth was a brilliant researcher with a genuinely kind soul. His intellect and character were truly remarkable, leaving a lasting mark during his years at Univ Pompeu Fabra. The university was fortunate to have him for so long. He will be deeply missed. RIP.

On slides and presentations, the norm now appears to not use period signs ‘.’ after a final sentence. Like in texting or on social media
I guess we can call it the “digital natives’ period”
