A conference that moved to 100% online keeps the same ticket price (~US$1,200) and without any speaker's expenses in place, they refused now to pay any speaker's honorarium (because 'covid'🤌). I'm in a dilemma: to cancel my participation or to do it anyway for attendees.

@benjsperry @maxlynch One more thing @benjsperry it's not always permanent. After 11 years, my eyes have changed again and even though I don't need to wear glasses to do most things I am not 20/20 anymore. Also if you do any type of martial arts it's not recommended to do Lasik (PRK is better).

So my eye doctor told me I'm now a candidate for Lasik eye surgery. Honestly not sure what to do. If you've had it, what was your experience? Any side effects? Drawbacks? Cautionary tales?

@BelkinCares Yes, I no longer use it and it still shows up. I tried force closing/uninstalling/reinstalling but it’s always there

@ashleymcnamara I've got the hot+cool air purifier and I like it. I've got pretty bad indoor allergies and I notice a significant difference when it's not running. Worth it in my opinion. Wifi+Alexa is a nice plus.
