To be honest, I expected projects like the Fourth Mainland Bridge, expanded rail lines (including the Green and Purple Lines), and the new Red Line coaches acquired in 2024 to be ready by now. I also expected the Lagos Arena,Massey Hospital, Ojo general Hospital, Ikoyi Medical park, mile 2 and Marina interchanges and the Lekki International Airport to have been completed by now.
These are the kinds of projects I thought would be his legacy projects.
The Opebi Link Bridge was very impressive, honestly, it stood out for me, and I really liked it. However, it’s a bit disappointing that the Island didn’t seem to get major new roads or bridges, even the Omu Island road is not ready yet.
That said, Gov. Babajide Sanwo-Olu has done quite well overall. He has renovated over 500 schools and upgraded soooo many healthcare facilities already. So to me, these are things he already does regularly, so I didn’t necessarily see them as standout legacy projects.
I expected that the larger, more ambitious projects, especially those that he already signed their MOUs,would have been completed by now.
Overall, he has done well, and I wish him the best. I just hope that before the end of his tenure, some of these pending projects will be completed. Going forward, I hope the next governor is someone decisive and completes project fast, like Fashola and Ambode or even better, someone who completes projects on time and pays strong attention to environmental management, as law, order, and the environment are key drivers of development as said by them.

Tomorrow if this man becomes a senator or Governor, children of hate will say he doesn’t merit it because without his father he would have gotten to that level and forgetting that he started from the grassroots and showed workings.

Work has commenced on the reconstruction of failed drainage along Old Lagos-Abeokuta Road, a critical first step before the full rehabilitation of several sections of the road. While this is a federal road, we have taken swift local action to address the immediate challenges, reducing travel time, preventing further deterioration, and supporting the daily movement of residents and businesses. Real impact starts with timely intervention. #agege #avo #avoisworking #anewagegeisrising

Iran has just done Nigeria and Africa a massive favour BTW.
By removing any shred of residual legitimacy left on the American empire's naked body, it has made it much harder to sell that "invade Nigeria to 'protect the Christians' " bullshit.
Nobody is ever going to buy the narrative that the guy who was just threatening to "end an entire civilisation" by committing the greatest war crime in human history against millions of civilians, is trying to save any goddamn Christian in Darkest Africa. That agenda is now dead and can now rest in peace.
Closing the Strait of Hormuz for nearly 6 weeks has also had the fortunate unintended consequence of forcing African countries to seek closer energy cooperation with each other. The number of African supply deals signed by the Dangote refinery over the past month would have taken years to achieve without Iran's intervention.
Allowing the war to end now and opening the Strait of Hormuz so that US tankers can pass through makes Nigerian oil less critical to the Star Spangled Motherfuckers, which makes a military invasion to 'protect Christians' all the less likely.
Every Nigerian who knows their arse from their elbow needs to visit their local Iranian embassy today to say thank you.
