It's the kind of day that makes you think. Harald Hillebrecht, a great solid-state chemist and really nice colleague, passed away unexpectedly at the age of 64. What a tremendous loss, personally and scientifically. RIP.

@rdrons That hits hard. What an untimely loss. I remember my first encounter with him, when he had accepted his first faculty position in Binn and decided to sleep in his office until he found proper accommodation. That says a lot about his character.
