"I might go farming myself." Micheál Martin flew to Africa in 2024 to meet Ethiopian farmers, give away Irish taxpayer money and launch an electric tractor. But when it came to Irish farmers, he sent in the military to seize their tractors.

I spent the last two days in Brussels representing our community at the European Jewish Association annual conference, themed “𝘎𝘭𝘰𝘣𝘢𝘭 𝘐𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘧𝘢𝘥𝘢 – 𝘑𝘦𝘸𝘪𝘴𝘩 𝘊𝘰𝘮𝘮𝘶𝘯𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘦𝘴 𝘰𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘍𝘳𝘰𝘯𝘵 𝘓𝘪𝘯𝘦.” These conferences are the only place where my accent is immediately recognised. I’m still not entirely sure whose idea it was to put me on a panel about the 𝘱𝘰𝘴𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘷𝘦 developments in the fight against antisemitism - but at least the photo came out well :) It was genuinely heartening to hear Members of the European Parliament, alongside European leaders and politicians, as well as American ambassadors, speak clearly about their responsibility and commitment to confronting antisemitism. It was also deeply inspiring to hear Jewish leaders - young and not-so-young - share what they are building, protecting, and pushing forward in their own countries. At the same time, it’s impossible to ignore how much communities across Europe are dealing with - the threats, the pressure, the constant need to justify and defend. And, each time, it becomes clearer just how much of an outlier Ireland remains, and how far behind we are when it comes to seriously addressing antisemitism and supporting Jewish life. And one unexpected takeaway: apparently even a Jewish conference can underestimate the importance of coffee breaks

Simon Harris is today worried about cancer patients because it suits him to use them as a stick to beat protesters. He didn't care about the women caught up in the Cervical check scandal when he lied to them about never having to go to court for compensation. Several women with terminal cancer had to go to court with only months to live. He is a horrible individual and should never be in a position of power.

The irony of this government, who allow children to die in agony waiting for operations, while flying in combatants from foreign war zones for treatment ahead of them, pretending to worry about people missing hospital appointments is staggering.

How many years of pro-Immigration and Palestinian protests have there been which have gone unchecked, if not openly endorsed, by government? On the flip side, protests by fishermen, farmers, truckers and ordinary people protesting about the cost of living are met with a heavy hand indeed. The Irish army has now been called up to deal with the problem, whilst the government ramps up the rhetoric and demonisation. How many times has this country been held hostage by teachers unions, Luas drivers etc without the same pushback? It reminds me of a conversation I had with fishermen who came up to Dublin to protest about fishing quotas. Under an Irish flag, they were capped in how much they could fish in Irish waters - as opposed to their European counterparts. To get around this, they would fly a Spanish flag once they hit their quota so as they could keep fishing without issue. My advice to the protestors - fly a Palestinian flag, and the government will soon be your best friend!

Irish neutrality is not drifting - it is being dismantled piece by piece by Fianna Fáil and Fine Gael. They are now planning on getting rid of the UN Triple Lock which is key in preventing Irish involvement in foreign wars. Neutrality belongs to the people and we need to protect it. Come along to our public meeting in the Sean O’Casey Centre on Friday 10th at 7pm. Be part of the campaign to protect Irish neutrality. Cosain ár neodracht - Sábháil an glas triarach! 🇮🇪

Lubna Speitan, the architect of a Green Party attempt to equate Zionism with racism, said Hamas should not be treated as a terrorist group, claiming it was only banned in Britain to undermine 'armed resistance' to Israel. Turns out when you're a terrorist group, you actually should be treated as a terrorist group. We have seen many people celebrate Hamas' actions, but this is a new low.

To everyone who took the time to engage or reply to my posts about how Irish MEPs voted yesterday in the European Parliament, thank you 🙏 X Ireland has decided to throttle all activity on ALL posts relating to this. I have replied to many of your comments but my replies keep disappearing. I WANT to engage with you all but this platform will not allow me. If you see ANY of my posts please comment - anything so I know you've seen the post! I'd really appreciate if you could like, share &/or bookmark. I'm not asking for clicks, I'm asking for your help in fighting their censorship. In Ireland, it appears that even small accounts critical of the government MUST be silenced. Here's engagement statistics on the first post that got through and the second that has been throttled. And I can GUARANTEE this post will be throttled too!

This convoy isn't meant to fight the USA or Israel. It's meant to murder Iranians who try to rise up against the terrorist Islamic Republic. This is what we Iranians have been dealing with for the last 47 years: terrorists that have taken over Iran.

BREAKING: Rabbi Yehuda Gilad, head of Yeshivat Ma’ale Gilboa, visited Khirbet Humsa in the West Bank following a settler pogrom in which a 29-year-old Palestinian farmer was sexually assaulted, his family was beaten, and hundreds of his sheep were stolen. Below is his full statement, translated from Hebrew: Letter from the Head of the Yeshiva, Rabbi Yehuda Gilad With God’s help, Rosh Chodesh Nisan — “a time of atonement for all their generations” Yesterday I went through a very difficult and deeply disturbing experience. I visited Khirbet Humsa (about a 30-minute drive from our yeshiva), where a pogrom carried out by hilltop youth took place about a week ago. I heard the details of what happened there from several sources, including Ruti — a woman I have known for years and trust completely. It turns out that in the early hours of the night, a group of rioters (around 30–40 people) arrived, equipped with sticks and many zip ties. They bound the men (and apparently also two foreign volunteers, though I am not certain of this), and then beat them all over their bodies with fists and clubs. We saw many remnants of the zip ties on the ground. The men required treatment at the hospital in Afula for injuries of varying severity. At the same time, the attackers stole the entire herd — about 300 head — belonging to the few families living there, under unimaginable conditions of poverty. At first, I heard that there had also been sexual violence, and I did not believe it… Yesterday we arrived at the site with Ruti, a friend of mine who is well known to them. When they saw us — Rabbi Avidan Friedman and myself — they visibly recoiled in terror and anxiously pointed to the kippot on our heads. Ruti tried to calm them, explaining that we were not among the attackers. Even so, at the beginning of the meeting, they were hesitant and afraid. I heard directly from a young man — a firsthand witness — what had happened there. From his face, the blue bruise in his eye, and his sorrowful expression, it was clear he was telling the truth. In that same conversation (with the help of a translator), he described in detail the prolonged abuse they endured while bound. Then, with deep shame, he told us something I had previously found impossible to believe. I find it difficult — my hands tremble as I write this about Jews — and yet I will write it, because I am convinced it indeed happened. Yes, these wicked individuals bound his genitals in an extremely painful way — not to mention the humiliation involved. These events recall the pogroms our ancestors endured in various diasporas. Have we become like the worst of the nations? I want to turn to the question: what should be done? But I feel that I am still at the stage of crying out. Alas — what has become of us!

The UN shamefully rationalising child marriage as a ‘survival strategy’. No agency is ever afforded to grown Palestinian men. Not when they rape Israeli women, not even when they rape underage Palestinian girls. It always, always has to be Israel’s fault.

The social justice warriors who were suddenly concerned for Iranian lives after 47 years of silence have been mysteriously silent about this totalitarian system that deprives Iranians of all rights and hangs them for protesting. Instead, they’ve increasingly joined the side of Nazi X. There is something so perverse about exploiting our dead bodies when it serves your agenda, then disappearing when it doesn’t. At this point, they are too far radicalized to pull back. We are at the highest point of distortion we have ever been.
