Still tripping on the time when I had an interview loop with Steve Yegge at Grab. What was supposed to be 30 mins of team fit turned out to be an hour and a half long design discussion. Favorite interview moment ever.

Funny story! When I was contemplating IC vs EM, everyone I asked unequivocally pointed me to Yao. I was so much in awe of her that I never asked her anything directly but I did hear her talk during a career path session and she was brilliant. What a loss!

6. Finally, try not to idolize people, believe in values instead. People are transitionary, core values, if distilled from the holding figure, stay true for far longer.

4. Own your career discussions. If you think you deserve it, ask for it. The most that can happen is you will be turned down. 5. If it doesn't seem okay in the first 2 months, it will usually never be okay. Trust your instincts! 3/

At work, someone asked me what my previous company was. I said “Twitter” and they just nodded and moved on to talking about other things. It felt normal…
