Hey @JonKrawczynski when are we gonna start talking about the picks we could get for ANT like we did with KAT?

@JonKrawczynski Technically We are the eastern most team west of the Mississippi and New Orleans is the western most team east of the Mississippi
English

This just feels right to me (except I would swap Philly and Toronto). Yes, Memphis and New Orleans are more East than Minnesota, but the teams cluster together better this way.

Here’s one idea on how the NBA divisions and conferences might look when Las Vegas and Seattle are added.

I’ve played enough video games to know he is at his most vulnerable right before he punches the pizza dough, that’s when you’ll get a knockout.

@cgtwts I will play doom for half that price with twice the amount of brain cells.
English

Let me explain what just happened, because I don’t think people realize how INSANE this is.
> Cortical Labs put 200,000 real human brain cells onto a silicon chip and trained them to play Doom in just one week.
> Each CL1 system costs $35,000.
> A rack of 30 units consumes only 850–1,000 watts combined.
> The human brain operates on 20 watts.
> Large AI training clusters burn through megawatts.
>Backed by In-Q-Tel.
115 units began shipping in 2025.
> Cortical Labs is selling “Wetware as a Service” through Cortical Cloud, letting developers deploy code remotely to living human neurons with no lab required,
> priced like a software subscription but powered by real brain cells grown from adult skin and blood samples.
> it isn’t about gaming, it’s about biological computing that could eventually outperform traditional silicon in energy efficiency and adaptability.
This is getting really scary and we’re still at the very beginning.

JUST IN: Petri dish of human brain cells grown on a microchip has learned to play DOOM.

@JonKrawczynski with ingles out who will get the nod to inbound with 4 seconds left?
English

@JLEdwardsIII I spent years hating the lakers because how bad the kings got officiated out of the playoffs against them. Turns out we were all correct, and they should have an asterisk, and all I could do was talk to my friends about it.

Honest question I’d love to have answered: If you were an adult in the 90s and early 2000s watching basketball, were you this outraged anytime something dirty in sports happened and just had nowhere to voice it except at the water cooler or is being outraged when something dirty happens new to today’s era?
