I won’t defend Az anymore regarding this issue, because I understand why people are questioning it at this point, but that still doesn’t change the fact that I have far less respect for artists who openly and directly support the Dutertes and everything their administration stood for. This was never a “gotcha” moment for us. When the issue about Shuvee’s political stance came out, WE CALLED HER OUT OURSELVES. The difference is, the girl was genuinely willing to listen, learn, and grow. She even released a statement despite knowing how risky and divisive political conversations can be. And yet, tangina, even that was weaponized against her. Politics is divisive, that’s the reality. But some of you turned every single issue into an excuse to drag her name, even when it had nothing to do with her. Let’s also stop pretending people don’t see who’s leading the quote tweets, the shady comments, and the constant engagement with hate accounts. Kayong fans ni A/Z ang nangunguna doon, so spare everyone the fake innocence. Maswerte pa nga kayo na maraming alts ang nananahimik ngayon, because deep down everyone already knows why. Ulol talaga. And the amount of stories that have been twisted just to fuel hate against Shuvee is insane. For the record, that photo with Gela did not even come from Shuveedaps. At this point, it honestly feels like karma is simply doing its job.
