the amount of conversations i’ve had with women in music who are scared of the day the industry decides they’re too old for FM radio support is a long list i’ve only had that conversation regarding men exactly once you don’t need to roll out the whataboutisms for this one

watching people in the aus music scene do the mental gymnastics of “but i wasn’t offended” about That Tweet is bizarre to me like yeah it was intended to say one thing but it landed sourly for a lot of performing women in particular - why not just give them the room to talk?
