@Hieraaetus DNA tests don’t represent Aboriginal identity, spirituality, connection to land, people and knowledge plays a much bigger role. Indigenous people have a right to claim ownership over the remains, especially considering how much ownership has been stolen from them

Treading very carefully here, but on the topic of Australian archaeology it is *highly non-obvious* to me why modern-day Aboriginal tribes are presumed to have some inherent claim to the remains of extremely ancient people not at all evidently related to them.
