Congratulations to the COVID committee. The UK government was criminally slow and indecisive . The should have acted 3 weeks earlier. Even 1 week earlier would have saved 23,000 lives. And the lessons have not been properly absorbed.

So they get 12 years on the fishing and alignment on food standards where their courts are the final arbiters We get use of E-gates (which was already permissible) and access to bid for defence contracts which we rarely won when in the EU. I was up for a renegotiation but pls somebody tell me it’s better than my reading.

On top of persecuting our farmers today feel sad for our fishermen & women. People voted not to take orders from Brussels or to have to give away our fish or pay another country to take over ownership of an island the uk has sovereignty of! I suppose having grown up in Plymouth surrounded by fishing & farming folk I know many this personally effects 😔

YET ANOTHER UPDATE: I’ve delayed this one. Had MRI scan. Gall bladder is perforated and leaking bile. No removal op possible until antibiotics do their thing. Will take 5-6 weeks and I will only be operating at reduced capacity for that period while it’s monitored. So I’m staying in hospital for at least another 2 days. And there was me hoping I’d be going home today. Hey ho. But I’m cheerful and had a lovely visit from my friends @DanielBryce15 and @sianwilliams100 who lives nearby. The nurses on this ward are incredibly lovely and I’m enjoying chatting to them. I’ve got a lot of feedback for @wesstreeting from my mystery shopper role. People in west Kent should be really proud of their hospital and the people who work in it.
