Two weeks in Venice with 20 undergrads whose awesomeness blew me away is now complete. I’ll post more about this experience later. But right now, shout out to my good colleague and friend @annerD23 who co-collaborated on this journey.

My institution is facing shrinking enrollment/revenue, dwindling rankings, & a bitter/toxic faculty unionization. It is a daily case study of failed organizational communication, internal relationship management, & risk assessment/crisis prevention from leadership.

@MLBFanSupport would you PLEASE put a delay on your app notifications? I like getting them, but the final pitch of this game was ruined, and this happens a lot. I was watching the game live on YouTube TV.

I had a wonderful time sharing my research on Nancy Holt's work at Miami University for @HoltSmithson Foundation last week! Excited to do more with this project to turn it into a publication, and big thanks to @ArchivesAmerArt and @MiamiOHArtMuseu for their help in my research.

Revisting archival goodies from the summer to prep for an upcoming talk on Nancy Holt and I am struck by the recurring predicament of an artist having to be both her own advocate and executor of Smithson's estate. A comparative study of Holt and Krasner could be very interesting.

Happy to be a part of this edited volume, just out today! Together with colleagues in Architecture and Art Ed, we explored artistic and pedagogical methods for responding to our campus's bronze cast of Houdon's famous statue of George Washington.

@innesseff Yeah that's not great. They really shouldn't have to do anything strenuous outside with air like this. If this becomes an annual thing, it needs to go into the agreement with the contractor.

@annerD23 Nope. Definitely not. To be clear, I'm quite sure this isn't unique across the state.

Several university campuses appear on this map. What is my campus doing to mitigate this for its outdoor workers? Nothing. I can hear their gas-powered lawn mowers and leaf blowers as we speak. Outdoor workers should receive days off with pay in these conditions. Period.
