This woman stopped her car in front of our shop with her daughter and called me over. I went, we discussed what she wanted, agreed on price, and I brought out a standing gas oven. I packaged it well and politely asked if her daughter could help me lift it into the car - because it’s heavy and honestly, one person no fit handle am. That was where wahala start 😭 She snapped instantly: said I lack customer service manners, why would her daughter “assist me like that”. I tried to explain calmly that I wasn’t being rude, just practical… that even when she gets home, they’ll still have to bring it down. But she was already furious. Even the daughter joined: “lack of education has affected your customer service” At that point I just smiled small… I no even argue again. She demanded refund and said they are not buying anymore. As I was about lifting the oven back inside to refund her… Another woman just parked and walked in like she had been watching everything 😂 She said she wants oven - and that exact one. She even paid 10k more than the price I told the first woman 😭 I calmly asked her too if she could help me place it in her car. She did it willingly, even gave me 1k tip and said she’ll send me more customers. Omo I just turned back, looked at the first woman and said “please send account number, we’ve already moved on.” Small energy can cost you big opportunities 😭🤣 What would you have done in such situations? 🤔
