Why do we champion the 20% effort for the 80% results in the real world, yet expect college and HS kids to push a relentless 100% across the board? Isn’t it a bit much, expecting them to sprint before they’ve mastered the walk? It’s not always about the full speed ahead; sometimes, the space to breathe and prioritize is what truly moves the needle. Let’s not complicate the simple - balance is key.

Words are... The bridges that connect us, The seeds of ideas that grow, The sparks that ignite change, Words are the most powerful force in the world. They shape destinies. Words are... The melodies that echo through time, The lights that guide us in the dark, The balm that heals old wounds, Words are the magic that transforms perception and reality. Words are... The whispers that stir courage, The arrows that fight wrongs, The maps that guide us home, Words are the legacy we leave behind.

What’s your favorite author from your childhood? The first one you read and went look for another one of their books. Mine was R.L. Stine.

Feeling overwhelmed by trying to manage everything? I used to be a detail-devourer—every fact, every task. It got me nowhere. When I chose to simplify, that's when real growth began. More isn't always better. Choose your actions wisely.

@NWACMoore Definitely tough while you are in it. But being on the other side of it, and how far you've come is the gift. Funny how that happens.

@annvee360 My failures were devastating to me at the time. They also removed me from situations that were not serving me. They also gave me exactly what I needed to be free. They were painful gifts that I would not trade for a pain free lesson.

Failing is powerful feedback. I failed my way to the bottom by not understanding the feedback I was receiving. I could have stopped the process much earlier by taking the time to understand the lesson of my failure. What was failure teaching me? I AM 100% Responsible for ME.

Building an online business? Success hinges on these: Clear Value Proposition: If they see the benefit, they'll buy. It's that simple. Seamless UX: 88% won't return after a bad site experience. Make yours smooth! Effective Marketing: Tailor every message to meet your audience right where they are. The entire ecosystem should focus on the same message with the same branding or people will feel lost. 👇🏽👇🏽 Socials & Ads --> Landing Page/Product Page --> Email Marketing ---> Follow-Up/Nurture/Engage Businesses that prioritize these fundamentals are resilient and are consistently winning.

@annvee360 It makes you wonder why we're taught, "Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me." As you've so eloquently stated here, words are powerful. They can hurt as well as heal.

Have you ever thought about what the airplane oxygen mask analogy can teach us about life? It's a quirky yet profound lesson: To genuinely extend kindness and support to those around you, you must first prioritize your own self-care. This ensures you have the capacity to effectively care for others. Here are my five principles for integrating self-care into daily life: 1. Secure Your Oxygen Mask First: Prioritize your well-being to ensure you're equipped to support loved ones effectively. 2. Recharge for Resilience: Use self-care as a tool to recharge and build resilience, enabling you to offer sustained support to others. 3. Lead by Example: Advocate for self-care by setting a positive example that encourages those around you to prioritize their own well-being. 4. Enhance Emotional and Mental Well-being: Connect self-care with improved emotional and mental health, contributing to stable mindsets and healthier relationships. 5. Foster a Supportive Environment: Encourage a community where everyone prioritizes self-care, enhancing collective efforts to care for both personal and communal well-being. Remember: the airplane oxygen mask analogy unveils profound truths. Embracing this wisdom has taught me that taking care of myself isn't just about self-preservation; it's about ensuring I have the strength and vitality to be there for those I love. Prioritizing self-care allows us to support our loved ones not out of obligation, but with a joyful and open heart. It is the cornerstone of building a life where support and care flow abundantly from a well-nourished soul. Let's take this journey together, nurturing our own well-being to create a supportive community where everyone thrives.

I dislike yard work. I'd rather go to the dentist than do yard work. I like many kinds of manual labor. I despise yard work. I'd rather watch M. Night Shyamalan's movie The Happening than do yard work. I like most of Shyam's other movies. I detest yard work. I'd rather endure all the dogs in my neighborhood simultaneously peeing on my shoes than do yard work. I like dogs. I DO NOT LIKE YARD WORK. NOTE: My wife and son weeded the flower beds in front of our house this afternoon. I assisted by helping put the weeds and clippings in the big arse brown paper lawn bags. We needed to use the gas-powered hedge trimmer for the first time (this season), but I couldn't get it started. While I hate yard work, gardening tools are allergic to me. Maybe the hatred is mutual.

Ever wonder what's behind this mysterious ad on the NYC subway? It's for a free 10-week course. In week 2, the instructor shared one of the most valuable sentences I've ever heard. It's made me laugh. Kept me out of arguments. And helped me learn - about myself and from others. "Whoever or whatever is in front of you is your teacher." It detaches me from my situation The phrase encourages me to step back and observe what's happening. What can I learn? What makes this special? Why am I feeling this way? This detachment lowers my temperature. It slows me down "Whoever or whatever is in front of you is your teacher" can be helpful on in stressful situations like when I am stuck in traffic or the TSA line. I am able to observe things and people. What can I learn about parenting? About being a better husband? Lessons galore. It forces me to look at myself I need to be honest with myself to harness the true power of this phrase. Why am I getting upset? What did I do? How can I avoid this in the future? Teaching myself about me is more than half the battle. I learn what not to do For example, by watching visitors in NYC or my hometown of Honolulu, I get lessons on how to be a better traveler. What should I see? Where should I be eating? How am I interacting with the people and the place I am visiting? Not just taking lessons from the travelers I see, but being present for the lessons available to me when I am on the road.

Never underestimate the effect music can have on your mood and energy level. Before you diagnose yourself as depressed and under motivated, check what's been in your playlist lately. I just realized I've been dosing myself with music that is lovely but low energy. Amp it up!

How committed are you to your dream? Do you feel a deep, burning desire for it? Do you see it clearly in your mind’s eye? Do you spend time visualizing it happening every single day? If you can say a resounding YES to all three of those questions, then there is nothing standing in the way of your dream becoming reality 🔥
