@FriarMario Has it been 2 weeks since I wrote this? For maybe a couple of days I have been longing to return to this image and the Relics of St. Francis. Somehow perhaps I understand? This is how humble St. Francis is. That he would prefer we venerate him "as he is." And so I do! God bless!

@FriarMario Dearest Friar Mario, I always do very well with relics. Somehow, these photos of what I assume are the bones of St. Francis are frightening & upsetting me. Can you pray for me about this. Maybe you have a gentle word. I would have thought it would bring me great joy to venerate.

At Jacob’s well, Jesus thirsts — not only for water, but for the heart of the Samaritan woman. When she encounters his truth and mercy, her life changes. Whoever meets Christ with honesty discovers the living water that truly satisfies.

In the parable of the unforgiving servant, Jesus reminds us that mercy received must become mercy given. God’s forgiveness is immeasurable. When we forgive from the heart, we mirror the compassion of the Father and allow his mercy to heal our world.

Jesus does not abolish the Law but brings it to its fullness in love. Every commandment becomes a path toward God when lived with a sincere heart. Faithfulness in the smallest things opens the way to true greatness in the Kingdom of Heaven.

Faith is not complicated: love God with all your heart, mind, and strength, and love your neighbor as yourself. When love becomes the center of our lives, we draw close to God and his kingdom already present among us.
