It's funny because the only reason the new world is as beautiful as it is its for the little things Denji could choose/achieve within the small scope of NOT being the hero. Everything he did OUTSIDE of CSM is millions of times more valuable to the world

I'm fine with it because Pochita was the one to resurrect him through Chainsaw Man.
Pochita being the one to also remove that hero status from Denji makes sense to me

A huge complaint ppl have about CSM part 2’s ending is Denji having no agency in the decision of getting rid of Chainsaw Man. While I do understand that, Denji is an addict, and when it comes to addicts, sometimes outside intervention is necessary. Sometimes it’s better to make the decision for them, instead of letting them continue to make the wrong choice over and over again, and continue to ruin their life At least that’s how I see it

Fullmetal Alchemist literally ends with Ed giving up Alchemy, the thing he loves and is passionate about, to save his brother.
Having the main protagonist give up what makes them special to save others is not a lack of conflict, it’s a resolution to conflict and it’s WORKED.

I wouldn't give up being Chainsaw Man without a fight. Would you? Spider-Man giving up to avoid pain would be acceptable to you too?

I thought the Chainsawman ending was really nice and then I forget a lot of people can't enjoy an ending to something if it doesn't have 10 extra chapters of exposition, prologues, overexplanation, post-credits biographies and an explosive final battle where everyone is there.
