After the harsh lesson from WGP finals in Malaysia last season, I took a real step back. Focused on myself, grounded my beliefs and confidence, and re-learned to truly respect the game and every opponent across the table. That humility changed everything. Worlds last year was different—as reigning 2023 champion, I got the auto-invite, no travel needed, no grinding the regular season. This year, I had to earn it the hard way. Planning trips, squeezing in playtesting while juggling work, facing new challenges in this chapter of life—it tested me. But chasing and finally securing this Worlds slot? The validation, pride, and relief flood in like nothing else. It’s the feeling I missed so much, and sharing this joy with an insanely supportive group of friends, brothers, and sisters who are genuinely proud to be part of the journey… that’s irreplaceable. I’m really grateful to everyone around me: my closest friends and family who believe even when things get rough, every opponent who pushed me to level up, the goated staffs and judges who were making sure everything was running smooth and even the cute Grab driver who wished me good luck in the morning —small moments like that kept the fire going. I delivered gameplay I’m genuinely proud of. After all the reps and growth, seeing it rewarded hits different. People and events keep reigniting my passion and love for this game, and I think that’s exactly how you define a truly successful one.
