you want to know how I got into a16z? Through @Techweek_. I hosted an event at NYTW in June of 2025 - filled the room with decision makers in recruiting orgs. Tesla, Wayfair, IBM and more. The goal was to get recruiting AI startups in front of large enterprises to get them to rethink their recruiting tech stack. As a result of throwing this event, and interacting with some @speedrun recruiting portfolio companies, I met @tmhammer and the Tech Week team. With perfect timing,@justmazer opened up a role. The JD: recruiting background, social media native and AI forward. I stayed up all night, applied in [attached cover letter] and three weeks later I had a job and was leaving New York.
