A Pakistani imam in Italy gave a sermon on national TV defending the right of Muslim men to marry 9-year-old girls. The next day, PM Giorgia Meloni personally requested that he be deported. He had lived in Italy for 9 years! Do you agree with Giorgia’s decision?

As Donald Trumps’ threat of bombing the infrastructure comes close to the deadline. This is what is happening in Iran: 1. 14 million people have volunteered to sit on the bridges, power plants, roads and other infrastructure throughout Iran. 2. These people have already started to gather at these places. 3. World has never seen such an act of bravery from any nation where ordinary people are risking their lives to save their country. UNBELIEVABLE. Simply Unbelievable.

Read this to understand the difference between Theory & Practice. And then look at all laws, rules, regulations for every important institution/ organisation, & determine the difference between Theory & Practice. This will give you a good idea of our governance crises.

AI integration across different sectors in Pakistan is rapidly transforming how services are delivered and decisions are made. From precision farming and smart diagnostics to automated banking and personalized learning, AI is increasing efficiency, reducing human error, and enabling data-driven growth. By improving productivity, reducing operational costs, and creating new tech-driven jobs, AI can significantly boost Pakistan’s economy. It can also enhance exports through innovation and help attract foreign investment by strengthening the country’s digital ecosystem.

"T20 is purely for the spectators. It is not a cricketer’s sport. Yes, cricketers play it, but it is like fast food. Test cricket is real cricket... Please do not banish Tests. That is the real cricket we are all here for." — Sir Gordon Greenridge. #TestCricketMatters

Remembering Colin Bland on his birth anniversary : The man who made fielding sexy before anyone cared Cricket was never kind to its third skill. Batting got the statues, bowling got the glory. Fielding was what you did while waiting for tea. Then arrived this mad Rhodesian who turned chasing leather into an act of obsession, Or maybe love. Canterbury, 1965. The pitch looked like a swimming pool & no play was possible. Colin Cowdrey walked across to the South African dressing room with a bizarre request. Could Bland entertain the freezing crowd? What followed was a magical act with deadly precision. Bland sprinted 15 times. 15 throws at the stumps. He hit 12. From cover, from mid-wicket, from square leg. The spectators forgot their numb fingers. When someone praised his accuracy against three stumps, Bland laughed loud. "They spoiled me," he said. "I practice with one." Every morning before play, locals watched him try to hit a solitary stick for 30 minutes. If he missed, it was treated as breaking news. Same tour at Lord's. Ken Barrington was batting beautifully on 91. He pushed to mid-wicket. Easy single, he thought. Bland ran like someone had set fire to his boots, picked up one-handed on the run & threw down the stumps. Barrington stood frozen in the middle of the pitch. Later he admitted something honest. "A batsman always knows where Bland is. He has to know, to live." Jim Parks suffered worse. Bland ran him out by throwing the ball through Parks's legs to hit the stumps. Through his actual legs. The Daily Mail called Bland the Bradman of fielding. They were not exaggerating. John Reid at Wanderers walked off clapping his own dismissal after a diving catch, Australian writer R.S. Whitington called it the Catch of the Century. Bland had made fielders into heroes. He averaged 49 with the bat. Better than many specialists who played twice as long. But we only talk about the knee. 1966, Johannesburg. He was just 28 years old. Chasing another hopeless ball, he collided with the picket fence & his career over. Just like that. Fielding never got its statues. It got Bland for a brief while & then it went back to waiting until another South African blonde flied in 1992 World Cup. But those who saw him remember something else. They remember that for a few years, the man in the covers mattered as much as the man with the bat. That the third skill could make you hold your breath.

We didn’t just remove subsidies — we dumped the entire shock on the consumer. • Global prices → passed through • Taxes → piled on • No cushioning → no sequencing The result is predictable: Inflation spike → demand destruction → possible recession → more pressure on households already stretched. Reform requires design, timing, and empathy. This reflects none. Ending subsidies should have been about efficiency. Instead, it has become a test of how much pain people can absorb. And that’s the real failure.

Highest ever petrol prices in $$ terms Current prices to take inflation to 12-13% in April & 15% plus in May & June The point was to end subsidy, not to load all taxes and international prices transfer to consumers Govt lacks empathy and ingenuity Will write in details

Imagine this govt. Yesterday imposed Petroleum levy and reversed by the PM within 24 hours. We were right. There was no justification of additional petroleum levy. Shows the original decision was taken without any formal understanding. When the opposition mounted pressure, the PM buckled and withdrew.

Why can’t we have cheaper oil in comparison to our neighbours. Particularly when we have the least transportation cost as we are nearest to Gulf; Pakistan has got the best deal from Iran which allows our cargos toll free and Saudi Arabia etc also gives us best rates. So why do we have the highest price. Pl explain ??? Just because govt is short of tax collection and this is the best way to squeeze people without any royal style of governance. Shameful!!!

The Express Tribune reported today that the government assured the IMF that it stood ready to increase the fuel prices. It was one of the poorest negotiated staff-level agreements, where the government pretended before the IMF that everything was normal with the economy despite the worst-ever fuel crisis since 1973. The political and bureaucratic failures will now hurt every household at a time when poverty in Pakistan is at 11 years’ highest level, income inequality at 27 years highest level and unemployment at 21 years’ highest level.
