I hired a general hand to do some manual landscaping tasks on a property I own. We agreed on a price. I left. When I came back to check on progress, I realised that he wasn’t doing the work himself. Instead, he hired two guys to do the work for him, so I paid him to hire some guys that he then paid. Akaisa zino, as they say. I feel uncomfortable with what he did. I feel it’s not right. Anyway, I later got the contacts of the two guys who did the actual work. Going forward I will just give them the assignments. I respect the guys who do the actual work, not some smart Alec trying to be an intermediary.

@LynneStactia I don't think we have any in Zim, but I would like to think if someone believes in one man one vote, then he is/was supposed to support and salute anyone who wins an election. Its on record that this particular guy doesn't believe in that

#dandarostreets Teachers will earn between $479 and $485 monthly plus an $80 allowance, while deputy heads will receive $503 to $510 and heads $724 to $734, all with the same allowance, under the new National Joint Negotiating Council agreement. Each package includes US$320 in hard currency, with the balance paid in ZiG at the official rate, placing teachers’ local currency earnings just above 6,100 ZiG and heads exceeding 12,600 ZiG, marking a structured adjustment in the education sector’s pay framework. Amending a constitution is abuse???? Kwanai bambo

𝗪𝗛𝗘𝗡 𝗬𝗢𝗨 𝗔𝗕𝗨𝗦𝗘 𝗬𝗢𝗨𝗥 𝗖𝗛𝗜𝗟𝗗𝗥𝗘𝗡 𝗔𝗧 𝗛𝗢𝗠𝗘, 𝗧𝗛𝗘𝗜𝗥 𝗦𝗖𝗔𝗥𝗦 𝗪𝗜𝗟𝗟 𝗕𝗘 𝗘𝗫𝗣𝗢𝗦𝗘𝗗 𝗜𝗡 𝗬𝗢𝗨𝗥 𝗡𝗘𝗜𝗚𝗛𝗕𝗢𝗥𝗦’ 𝗛𝗢𝗠𝗘𝗦. Here is the irony of the Zimbabwean situation, Kudzai Mutisi. No Zimbabwean wants our former colonizers interfering in our internal affairs. However, we must recall that when the crimes against humanity of Rhodesia’s Unilateral Declaration of Independence, apartheid in South Africa, and the persecution of Palestinians took place, ZANU PF and the international community sought solidarity and assistance from the same Western capitals and multilateral institutions that pressured those governments to end their crimes against humanity. Even while we were under illegal U.S., UK, and EU sanctions, we also approached the UN Human Rights Council, and lobbied SADC, the AU, the U.S. Congress, international human rights lawyers and even citizens of other Western countries to assist us in pressuring these governments to end the illegal sanctions they had on innocent Zimbabwean civilians—which they did. The whole reason people went to these nations and multilateral institutions is because those governments did not offer the innocent civilians they were persecuting justice through their local courts; they also persecuted those who complained, suppressed their voices and right to protest against these injustices. Now, as the Zimbabwe Human Rights Council notes, the Zimbabwean government has reached a point where it too does not allow opponents of Constitutional Amendment Bill 3 to air their views, protest in the country, or express dissent. Individuals are imprisoned, tortured, abducted or harangued into exile. As a consequence, Zimbabweans are often times displaced into foreign countries, where they are forced to protest before the same foreign governments that ZANU PF once approached for support during the liberation struggle, to dislodge an obdurate and oppressive regime. The tables have now turned, with the Zimbabwean government increasingly playing the role of oppressor, depriving its own citizens of their fundamental rights to freedom from torture, free speech, free thought, free movement and free association. All this is the result of a government that has shrunk the democratic space, is muzzling dissent and pushing activists to raise their concerns from foreign capitals, all to push an unpopular Bill without following the constitution. We warned that the approach being taken to extend the President’s term would lead to human rights violations, violence, and suppression of opposition in a way that would attract the attention of the international community—potentially provoking responses that risk undermining the legacy that the current President is trying to build. We are living in a new era where even the most resource-rich nations can no longer conceal human rights abuses, as mobile phones and cameras now capture and broadcast international crimes, globally, in real time. This is not the time for ZANU PF to assume it can rule by “might is right” without expecting retaliation from nations that thrive off on the same principle. The problem the Zimbabwean government has now, is it no longer has an intelligence system or smart advisors who tell leaders the truth, to prevent national security threats that our government is now summoning.

Zimbabweans, the characters of the MPs like Susan Matsunga, did not enter the parliament by mistake or by coincidence. Remember, these people were directly chosen by Chamisa through Bereka-Mwana, a strategy he used to choose representatives and eliminate people like Biti.
