Even if they use over proportional force, it will be very hard to prove it and it can be a subjective subject. Unless he injures the woman to an unnecessary level such as death it would be hard to judge.

Thats gonna land you in prison if they sustain heavy injury which is very likely. Also if someone else punches you is it ok to shoot them dead? Honest question
