Our democracy is dead. Rishi Sunak made the decision to stop the Northern Section of HS2. Not the Cabinet, not Parliament - Rishi Sunak! Are all decisions now made solely by the PM? Yes! We are under a dictatorship and there has been a total power grab. It allows the criminal activities we have experienced by government to go on unaccounted and unresolved; Test & Trace and PPE, not even to be investigated. Too close to home? Who decided - Rishi Sunak! The situation also allows the asset stripping of the nation to continue. Should all major decisions be approved by a majority vote of the cabinet and approval by parliament? Do we need political change to remove the single party mass majority situation which is so open to abuse?

It is with deep sadness that we learned of the passing today of our beloved Shaun Pickering. Shaun did so much for athletics and to carry on the amazing legacy of his parents Ron and Jean. All our hearts go out to Shaun’s family and friends at this dreadfully sad time 💔
