Laura Curran not conceding just yet to Blakeman. In a statement just released she said in part, “There are many thousands of absentee ballots that still must be counted with more coming in. This is not over and we must trust the process.”

With 99% of the votes in, Bruce Blakeman is the new Nassau County Executive it seems. He leads with a 11,811 point difference over incumbent Laura Curran. Absentee ballots still need to be counted but it most likely won’t be enough to secure Curran a second term

With 92% of the votes in for TOB Supervisor, incumbent Saladino (R) has 71% compared to Amanda Field (D) with 29%

The three town supervisor elections going on in Nassau also seem to be holding steady for Rep. With 90% of votes in, TOH incumbent Clavin is in the lead with 65% compared to Dem Abelove’s 35%; With 81% of votes in, TONH DeSena (R) has 54% vs Wink (D) with 46%

It is fascinating to see the results come in for county elections right now. Nassau looks to be going to red real fast. Underdog Blakeman has a 10,256 vote lead over Curran with 94% of the votes counted for county executive
