The lawyer for Ambler Realty, Newton Baker, succeeded Tom Johnson as mayor of Cleveland, was similarly a dedicated Georgist, and likely consorted with or at least knew of John C. Lincoln, the founder of the Lincoln Institute

Among the many interesting offshoots I discovered while reporting this story: The Lincoln Institute had its own symposium on Euclid in 1986, on the occasion of the * sixtieth * anniversary of the decision.
