My fave sports test is the 10-game test. Let’s you know where people sit. If Miami played OSU 10 times, I think Miami wins 4. Which means we have a rather decent chance to win this game. It also means OSU would win more. How this means us Miami fans are “overconfident” or “carrying ourselves like a bunch of blah blah blah” fans is beyond me. OSU has the slightly better team on paper. Their defense is littered with first-round and second-round talent. Ours has some first round and a bunch of 3rd/5th round talent. OSU has first round WRs. We’ve got guys who will be free agents trying to make a team and some young ones who should get drafted high. We have a top-10 lineman, a likely second rounder, and two dudes who should make rosters. Seems like OSU has some decent lineman but I don’t believe Kiper has them rated as high as ours. Beck is 35-5 and we’ll take him. Sayin’ has a ton of upside but hasn’t been Joe Burrow by any means. Bottom line, the game isn’t played on paper. Anything can happen. Canes fans believe. The team believes. In years past, that wasn’t the case. OSU fans are offended because they believe we’re supposed to bow down or be afraid. Mario has recruited dogs and these dogs are hungry. The game will get played. It must get played. Not on paper. In between the lines. Spot the damn ball. Win or lose, we ain’t scurred of you bi$&hes. #GoCanes
