PKM is not a technical discipline, it is a socio-technical one. It is not enough to think about the tools. We must consider the relationship between the tools and the humans they serve.

@uberstuber Putting yourself in the artist's shoes, dealing with the prevailing attitude of "ask for forgiveness, not permission" can be a discouraging and draining experience that guards people from showing their work in the first place.

Has the degree of detail we employ in categorizing identities and behaviors become disconnective rather than connective? Is all this fine-tooth combing through of our differences helping us to find more of “our people” or making it so we have nothing in common with anyone?

I've recorded 80 podcast episodes. What I'm most proud of? 1/2 the guests are women. If I just interviewed my friends, asked my audience for referrals it'd be 90% men. So it's a ton of extra "work" - but the result is way better.
