@rcbregman @MaxCRoser The fundamental weakness here @rcbregman is that fiscal metrics for poverty/growth rarely reflect lived-experience; distort our sense of value and smothers innovation.

Degrowthers think that a poverty line of just $3 per day is high enough. This 'negates the misery of billions', @MaxCRoser argues in this brilliant piece --> The world is not nearly rich enough. We need much, much more (green) growth, development and innovation.

@PremSportsTV fix the bulls benetton URC feed. Presumably you'll be happy to give subscribers money back for failure to deliver?

I'm halfway through and had to share- and I only share the standouts. Suzman's book (@anthrowittering ) is both stunningly insightful, and beautifully written-the latter, a rarity for science writing.

@josephattard02 I'm sorry to hear the ideas were such a disappointment to you. I wish you the best with your own work.

Just finished this @danielsusskind book ‘A World Without Work’ and oh my goodness - how out of touch do you have to be to write this? People are not ‘hooked’ on work in order to fulfil a subjective ‘addiction’ to validation, dude: it’s because without it, they starve. 🧵

@KendraSirak It's hardly the first time that Lee's judgement has been thrown off by the lure and glare of the limelight.

A well-written summary of the “WTF” that so many of us who respectfully work with and thoughtfully study human remains are feeling. This type of publicity stunt should be condemned by all of us in the scientific community.
