@antimax @DaveShapi In post-labour economics, AI drives the cost of living to near zero. By making everything we produce faster, better, smarter, and cheaper, AI demonetizes basic needs. When rent and food become practically free, wage-slavery ends.

The left is wrong about AI because it's literally the path to worker liberation but they're to tribal and reactive to see it. The right is wrong about AI because they're just going to pound ahead as AI becomes more unpopular. Post-Labor Economics is the obvious path forward.

Anyone who thinks "AI = easy mode" honestly just sounds dumb and out of touch. For context, I’ve been doing product design for 20+ years, including giant brands like Febreze, Swiffer, and Abercrombie with multi-continent supply chains etc. I can tell you that AI is by FAR the most technically and cognitively demanding thing I’ve done in my career. Yes plenty of people use it to make videos of Charlie Sheen farting on Pikachu or whatever but using AI tools at a high level is HARD. It makes production a lot easier and faster (eg, writing code or generating images) but the cognitive part (deciding what code should be written or what image should be generated) is just as slow and hard as ever, so your brain is now the bottleneck.

Trump retweeted an allegory of him healing a sick nation. Learn storytelling. People are anxious to accuse Trump of blasphemy, then yawn at the Pope claiming to be a Holy Father. This not a literal depiction of Jesus and comes nowhere near what transsubstantiation does. The Chosen might be idolatry but this is not.

@diplo AI in music is going to unlock the creativity of at least 1 billion people that were previously unable to access their musical curiosity because of the barriers to entry with instruments or technology. An absolute blessing.

if you are a creative you need to adapt or just like give up and become an uber driver until everyone has a waymo.
