@iankilroy Manager saying he didnt know it was cheating, absolute bollocks like no one would have known he was doing it and realised it was against the rules…defo more they aren’t saying, players doing the binoculars celebration tells you how serious they took it inside the club too

@iankilroy Huddersfield is a bit partial to a bit of virtue signalling. I never knew....

Dont ask @ChrisWev as simple question such as what amount of punishment should Southampton get more than Leeds United did as a % because he'll not be able to answer and get very very upset and block you #SaintsFC

Southampton, we’ll be seeing you at Fratton Park in a few months. It’s a busy summer ahead - finding a new manager, being sued by half the Championship, and conducting a fire sale of your best players while your reputation sits in the absolute gutter. A cheating club that, even after being found out, still didn’t seem to understand what it had done wrong. It’s a long way back when you’re this arrogant and entitled 😘

@Boropolis The absolute worst take in this whole thing. Jesus Christ. I bet you believe it too. Fucking virtue signalling while getting a free-pass final. Next you'll be telling us you deserve to beat Hull

Make no mistake, this isn’t just a win for Middlesbrough Football Club, it’s a win for football and sporting integrity. #Boro | #UTB | #SaintsFC

@DanJHargraves @ACW52 Thats not a sporting punishment. Feel for your fans as it's not your fault ultimately but cheating in a knockout tournament deservedly gets you DQ

@DanJHargraves That's about right. I get the impression many fans on twitter can't imagine any other club spying or cheating in any way. There's a lot of virtue signalling about it. It would have been more accurate of them to mock saints for being incompetent buffoons

@antineil @danielstorey85 Tbf I think they shouldn’t be getting another chance. Yeh saints were spying but that isn’t to blame for them being shite at finishing. 40 shots and only 1 goal over 2 legs and losing is not fault of spying. thought Hull should have just gone up. I’m supporting hull in final.

The most incredible thing about Southampton and spygate is that, still, so much energy has gone into "err this is unfair" rather than apologising to fans, arranging refunds and going cap in hand to to beg them to stick with the club. They have torched their entire reputation.

🤔 "It's a very strange decision!" 🤯 "To fine somebody £200k to booting someone out a game that could be worth £250m!" Simon Jordan examines whether the EFL are right to kick #SaintsFC out of the play-off final for spying! 🕵️

Ekhart has behaved shamefully and ignorantly but the EFL disqualification is more about benefitting Boro than punishing us. They needed to have the final for financial reasons and the Boro board wanted the play-off opportunity. I would be shocked if they made a deal #SaintsFC

@CPaul089 @danielstorey85 They are not the only ones I blame. The Middlesborogh board have a lot of clout in the EFL and i'm sure exerted tremendous pressure on them to get a benefit. That is why the ruling is so drastic. To benefit them, not to exert a fair ruling

@antineil @danielstorey85 Southampton fans deserve a lot better than all this but unfortunately the only ones you can blame are those who have caused it all. Sounds like even your owner didn’t know about it so your manager and anyone involved else need the sack immediately. You’ll recover eventually.

As upset as I am with Eckhart and the Management team that did this I still find myself having to defend the integrity of the fans and the innocent people at the club. I don't think the players were involved IMO for example. Im fed up being called a cheat #SaintsFC

@sorourkeITV The infraction (it's not a crime) is punishable but should in proportional. Yet the EFL award Middlesbrough a free pass final after loosing in 2 legs. Accounts like yours think that has integrity. It's exerted pressure and profit. Anyone who thinks it's about justice is a moron.
