When we reopened Antone’s on E 5th in late 2015, we were beside ourselves when Tommy offered to host a weekly residency. His contributions to our scene and our story are immeasurable.

He came to Austin in 1968 to play with Johnny Winter and never left. When he sat in with Muddy Waters, his life was changed. Tommy didn’t know it at the time, but by moving here he’d become of a handful of people who would change the trajectory of Austin and American music.
