If you’re collaborating with Israeli PIs, think about whether you could invite one of their international trainees for a short stay so that they can get some work done while they are unable to return to their home lab.

I’ve just learned from another PI that all foreign trainees are evacuated by their embassies. The labs are emptying. This will impact Israeli science, unfortunately. I don’t think we can do much about it, but if you think there is anything we, your American colleagues, can do to help - just let us know.

Excited to share our piece on gamma oscillations. We propose to shift from a frequency to a mechanistic-based definition of gamma oscillations and argue that rather than implementing specific functions they inform of the underlying circuit computations.

@ElDuvelle IMHO: a long-standing confusion in the field. There is no demonstrated delta rhythm generator. Delta power comes from cortical delta waves, their spectral content i.e. duration depends on K currents and local rebound dynamics. Cortical currents volume conduct to hpc

@pschneider1968 @IglesiasYosha As many have pointed out : it get exponentially more difficult to produce 100% accurate moves with strong opponent who’s not making mistakes. It is no brainer to find best moves against weak opponent that opens up for your attack, tactics etc. And first 10-15 moves is theory…

@IglesiasYosha I am a 1700+ patzer and I have played two 100% games, several 95%+ games and even a lot more 90%+ games. In two and a half years of me playing online at chess com. Bullet 2+1. Game evaluation with depth 24.
Go figure. You gotta understand statistics.
