A Left-Wing Account ™️
California Democrats have a 3/4 SUPERMAJORITY, and they just killed their own universal healthcare bill. AGAIN. You can’t blame Trump. You can’t blame people who didn’t vote blue. What now?

This might be controversial but as someone who’s been on both sides of the gender spectrum, Men’s mental health is awful. I genuinely feel bad for men, most of them end up emotionally deprived because nobody cares enough to express love to them. You’re ridiculed as a joke if you’re not masculine enough. Women are cold to you unless they find you attractive, and receiving compliments don’t exist. Back when I was a boy or was boymoding (Trans woman pretending to be a c¡s man) I’ve actually had countless women say mean things to me when I talk too much or too loud in a shared space with others, genuinely made me fearful of women for the longest time. My previous experience I would say is a lot of women hate men when they take up space, Because they see men taking up space as misogynistic, and I can understand why when someone might be loudest in the room. But I remember when I would be speaking and having fun talking with my close friends other women would tell me to shut up and things related to that, I liked yapping and I guess a lot of women in my irl life hated me for that. Not only that but a lot of women would be randomly mean to me if I were to openly express myself and be kinda quirky. One girl in my irl life recently apologized to me after 3 years, saying sorry for being randomly mean to me years ago and now being randomly nice to me even tho I don’t interact or talk with her. I remember she was mean to me when I was younger so I avoided interacting with her to not be bullied, because she said some really mean things, and now that I’ve came out living and looking like the opposite gender, women and everyone are now all of a sudden nice to me, things I’ve never had like compliments, support, and care. And I found it strange how not only did someone who used to be mean to me suddenly be nice to me and also apologize, it feels like it genuinely is a whole gender thing. Because I’ve seen them so many times in the past and walk past them and they don’t even bother looking at me, but now that I came out living as a girl it’s the complete opposite. When I used to socialize it felt like I wasn’t allowed to take up much space or have much of a voice, Or else others will be angry at me, That affected my mental health and self worth a lot, and it carries over even as the other gender. Because before I was mostly told by others to not speak up, try to not take up space, you’re not important, to suddenly being uplifted and cheered for, and being told I have value, and that I should speak up for myself and people alike, the change is so sudden and unexpected. I feel like men are not treated kindly in society, a lot of men are usually seen as bad, it also affects all of them. I understand men are seen as perpetrators, but this genuinely also affects teenage boys and young men into pushing them to think that they are also perpetrators and predators when they are just innocent boys. Maybe the pov is different for me because I am a trans woman and wanted to be a girl since 6, and being treated like you’re dangerous and unworthy of love is very terrible for mental health. I think a lot of innocent men get fucked over by men with ill intent and make people fearful of men, it’s a problem on both sides but I genuinely feel bad for the men who didn’t do anything and are pushed to repress themselves.

Give A Shit About Nature
Give A Shit About Nature@giveashitnature·
In 2020, a small city in Wisconsin told its residents they could stop mowing for a month. 435 households joined in. The bees came back the same spring. Appleton was the first US city to adopt No Mow May. The city council suspended its weed ordinance for the month so residents wouldn't get cited for tall grass. Around 40 acres of lawn across the city went uncut. Researchers from Lawrence University sampled the unmowed lawns and nearby mowed city parks in the same week. The unmowed lawns had 5 times as many bees and 3 times as many bee species as the mowed parks. Wisconsin is home to nearly 500 native bee species. Most people have never seen them because they don't live in honeybee hives. They're solitary bees, ground nesters, small black or metallic green insects that fit on a fingernail. Appleton's unmowed yards gave them food and shelter in the hungry early-spring window when almost nothing else is blooming. The experiment cost the city nothing. It saved residents fuel and labor. It produced measurable ecological results within 30 days. Dozens of US cities have adopted the practice since. Has yours?
