State visits by Leaders are not tourism, and diplomacy is not a fashion parade. Every foreign trip undertaken by a government must deliver measurable benefits to the people, including investments, technology transfer, trade agreements, factory expansion, industrial partnerships, and job creation. During President Trump’s recent visit to China, the American delegation reportedly included a few top government officials, and many of the biggest figures in global business and technology: Consequently, huge trade deals worth several billion dollars including about 200 Boeing orders were achieved. The list of the entourage included 1. Donald J. Trump – President of the United States 2. Marco Rubio – Secretary of State 3. Pete Hegseth – Secretary of Defence 4. Elon Musk – CEO, Tesla & SpaceX 5. Jensen Huang – CEO, Nvidia 6. Tim Cook – CEO, Apple 7. Larry Fink – CEO, BlackRock 8. Stephen Schwarzman – CEO, Blackstone 9. Kelly Ortberg – CEO, Boeing 10. Brian Sikes – CEO, Cargill 11. Jane Fraser – CEO, Citigroup 12. Larry Culp – CEO, General Electric 13. David Solomon – CEO, Goldman Sachs 14. Sanjay Mehrotra – CEO, Micron Technology 15.Cristiano Amon – CEO, Qualcomm 16. Dina P. McCormick – President of Meta 17. Ryan McInerney – CEO, Visa 18. Michael Miebach – President, Mastercard 19. Jim Anderson – CEO, Coherent 20. Jacob Thaysen – CEO, Illumina That is how serious nations approach diplomacy, by aligning foreign policy with economic expansion, industrial growth, innovation, and national productivity. I hope that lessons can be learned from these recent visits comparing them with the President of Nigeria’s recent state visit to the United Kingdom. A large entourage of politicians, aides, and government officials travelled, yet Nigerians are still asking a simple question: what exactly did Nigeria bring home? Which factories are coming to Nigeria? What power, technology, manufacturing, agricultural, or industrial agreements were secured? How many direct jobs will this visit create for Nigerian youths? What investments were attracted? What measurable economic outcomes can the ordinary Nigerian point to? The delegation reportedly included: 1. President Bola Tinubu 2. Senator (Mrs) Tinubu 3.12 governors 4.9 ministers 5.7 members of the National Assembly 6. Over 20 senior State House staff 7. Over 30 security personnel 8. Over 10 domestic staff 9. Several supporters and associates It is not enough to ride horses, wear matching uniforms, attend royal banquets, and release glossy photographs. Symbolism without substance cannot feed hungry citizens. Today, Nigeria is in decline, battling serious insecurity, food insecurity, unemployment, a weakened naira, declining industrial productivity, and worsening poverty. At a time when millions of Nigerians struggle daily to afford food and survive economic hardship, every kobo spent on foreign trips must produce tangible national value: investments, factories, jobs, exports, infrastructure, and economic opportunities. Nigeria needs leadership that is focused less on optics and more on productivity; less on ceremony and more on measurable economic results. A New Nigeria is POssible. -PO

1st semester 200L (2024) Less than 1 week I resumed, I ran $1k to $8k, I legit stayed up all night in that hostel, 2 days after I moved out …I first sent one test payment to Binance then moved the rest 🥲 I ran it up to 22k that week again, spent some. Ran the rest to $100k (months after) then to zero Yeah 2024 haunted me, and I’m still paying for It. Silly mistakes

The plan was to get an interim coach to improve results and secure UCL football, then get a permanent coach at the end of the season. Carrick has done a fantastic job. I applaud him, but why not stick to the original plan? Thank Carrick, wish him well, and go for another manager to take us forward. I love Carrick and wouldn't be against it if he's given the job, but this feels like Ole all over again.
Sully@SullyTalkz

The expectation is for #MUFC to offer Michael Carrick the permanent head coach role for next season. No concrete talks or official decision has been made yet but it's looking increasingly likely that the club want to continue with the 44-year-old following impressive past months.

"Some men change their party for the sake of their principles; others change their principles for the sake of their party." Winston Churchill Today, May 9th, I attended the 1st convention of my latest party, the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) in Abuja, Nigeria. The convention was successful and continued to show the resilience of Nigerians to change I express my sincere appreciation and gratitude to the NDC family, led by the distinguished Senator Henry Seriake Dickson, for inviting us and for the generosity of spirit with which they have accommodated us at this critical moment in our national journey. I also wish to express profound gratitude to the African Democratic Congress(ADC), particularly Distinguished Senator David Mark, for providing a democratic platform and showing uncommon understanding when the ongoing litigation forced us out of the Labour Party and the New Nigeria People's Party, NNPP respectively. That spirit of solidarity must remain the foundation upon which a better Nigeria will be built. Today, the most painful aspect of our political existence is that many who once benefited from democratic governance have now become willing accessories to the destruction of democracy itself. Those who once fought for justice now openly celebrate electoral injustice. Those who once spoke against impunity now defend coercion, manipulation, intimidation, and outright political gangsterism, especially against opposition voices. What we are witnessing is not politics; it is a systematic assault on democracy and the will of the people. Nigeria today stands at a dangerous crossroads. Our democracy is under severe threat. Our nation is drifting without direction, and our people are passing through immense suffering. Across the world, Nigeria is increasingly described as a failing and disgraced nation. This is not the destiny God ordained for our great country. It was not always so, and it must never be allowed to remain so. Across virtually every recognised indicator of good governance - accountability, political stability, rule of law, control of corruption, government effectiveness, regulatory quality, and the separation of powers - Nigeria continues to record alarming failures. The institutions that should protect the people are weakening daily, while the burden on ordinary citizens grows heavier with each passing moment. Today, over 140 million Nigerians live in multidimensional poverty. Tens of millions of young people remain unemployed or underemployed. Inflation continues to crush families. Businesses are shutting down. Farmers can no longer safely access their farms. Communities live in fear. In this month alone, hundreds of innocent Nigerians have lost their lives to insecurity, while many others have been kidnapped, displaced, or thrown deeper into poverty. The most heartbreaking question confronting us is this: Who consoles the grieving mother whose child was abducted on the way to school? Who speaks for the father who can no longer feed his family despite working every day? Who defends the young Nigerian whose dreams have been destroyed by a nation that rewards connections over competence and corruption over character? Our present tragedy is not accidental. It is the direct consequence of years of deliberate sabotage by a political class that prospers by dividing the people and weakening the nation. Nigeria is not a poor country; rather, we are being looted into poverty. We have abundant human and natural resources, yet we remain trapped in deprivation because leadership has failed to place the common good above personal interest. Our choice as a people is therefore clear: whether to surrender to despair and national decline, or to summon the courage to rescue our country and rebuild it on the foundations of unity, equity, justice, competence, and productivity.

I didn’t completely understand what it meant in Romans 8:28 when it says “All things work together for good”… until I lived through a season where nothing felt good at all. Because let’s be real… some seasons don’t look like blessings. They look like confusion. Delays. Losses. Things falling apart. And you start questioning… how could this possibly be working for me? But what I’ve learned is… God doesn’t waste anything. Not the heartbreak. Not the waiting. Not even the mistakes. He has a way of taking what felt like a setback and turning it into setup. So for the people who feel like everything is going left right now… it’s not random. It’s not pointless. It’s working. Even if you don’t understand how yet. Stay grounded. Stay trusting. Because one day it’s all going to make sense… and you’ll see it was working in your favor the whole time. 💪🏾💕

WHEN I WAS A TEACHER IN A SECONDARY School ||BRO GBILE AKANNI Some years ago, I was a teacher in a secondary school. The school had very matured boys and girls. I also discovered Male teachers posted to that school use to jubilate. Their reason was because of the girls in the school. It was common practice among the teachers and the boys to keep fighting over the girls. Students could gang up and beat up their teacher. And when I got into that kind of school I wondered what to do. The only thing that God said was “Preach the Good News. So I confronted these students with the word of God one after the other and some repented. Thank God some of them are pastors today. Some of them are in different professions and they are standing for Jesus. There were times when there were uproars in the college and nobody could discipline the students. The teachers had lost their integrity. The principal would then call me to help and the students would submit. The Good News that you share will protect those things that God has decided to bless your life with. In another school, I discovered that since evangelism was not allowed, the boys grew up so wild that they would enter into teachers’ homes and rape their teachers’ wives. Do you know that the boys that we do not have time to preach the gospel to in the schools, are the boys that carry guns as armed robbers and harass us in our houses? We do not well. If we tarry, some mischief will come upon us. Even the Church will not be safe if we tarry. If we tarry with the issue of spreading the Good News of what God had done for mankind on the cross of Calvary and shy away from confronting men with it, trouble is coming. Politics can never change men; only the message of the cross changes people and makes them reasonable. As I watch the situation in our country, churches and their pastors are becoming more sophisticated and materialistic instead of reaching out to the lost with the gospel. The lives of pastors and ministers are also not safe at all! As we keep collecting and changing raiment, we are not safe. Some preachers invest a lot of money exorbitantly on their garments rather than on souls. Such preachers think that God’s prosperity is for their personal consumption. No! It is God’s investment for the gospel that we have discovered by the grace of God, even our cities, our towns, will no longer be safe for us. As I watch the new trend of Christianity in our land, I am forced to conclude, “We do not well, we do not well.” Some mischief will come upon us if we tarry. Let me tell you, it is nothing glorious that a man of God now has a retinue of body guards and security men. It is a mischief. You know what we are saying by that, is that our God is not able to protect us! I see us shouting, “touch not my anointed and do my prophets no harm.’’ We claim that scripture with ignorance, not knowing that those men that God gave those command about were not pot-bellied. If we tarry at this, some mischief will come upon us; the society itself will reject us. There is urgency about this matter #BroGbileAkanni #lesson #naijasermon

When the Bible says “do not lean on your own understanding”, take it seriously. Our hearts are deceitful, our emotions fluctuate and our understanding doesn’t see the big picture. God never lies. God never changes. God knows all. Trust Him.

Many people read Psalm 91… but not many know how to pray with it. Psalm 91 is not just a chapter to comfort you—it is a weapon to cover you. The secret is this: don’t just read it… turn it into prayer. “He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High…” No. Make it personal: “I dwell in the secret place of the Most High. I abide under the shadow of the Almighty.” When you pray like this, you are not quoting scripture—you are stepping into it. “God is my refuge and my fortress…” Pray it: “Lord, You are my refuge. I trust You. Hide me. Cover me. Fight for me.” Take it line by line. Slowly. Intentionally. Let every verse become your conversation with God. And when you get to the declarations—don’t be quiet. “A thousand may fall at my side…” This is not a whisper. This is authority. “Even if thousands fall around me, it will not come near me!” That is how prayer shifts from desperation to dominion. Psalm 91 is also a weapon in spiritual warfare. When fear comes… When attacks rise… When your night feels heavy… Declare: “No evil shall befall me. No plague shall come near my dwelling.” You are not trying to convince God—you are enforcing what He already said. And this is important: Consistency matters. Pray it in the morning. Pray it at midnight. Pray it until your spirit believes what your mouth is saying. Because the power is not in repetition… The power is in revelation and faith. Psalm 91 is a covenant of protection. When you truly pray it, you stop living like a victim. You begin to walk in confidence, authority, and divine covering. Don’t just read it today. Pray it. Declare it. Become it. PRAYER (From Psalm 91) Heavenly Father, I choose to dwell in Your secret place. I abide under Your shadow. You are my refuge and my fortress, My God, in You I trust. Deliver me from every hidden trap, every plan of the enemy, and every form of sickness. Cover me with Your presence. Let me find safety under Your wings. Let Your truth be my shield and protection. I declare: I will not fear the terror of the night, nor the arrows that fly by day. Even if a thousand fall at my side and ten thousand at my right hand, it will not come near me. No evil shall befall me. No plague shall come near my dwelling. Command Your angels to guard me in all my ways. Let them lift me up and preserve me. I overcome every work of darkness. I walk in victory. Because I love You, deliver me, O Lord. Answer me when I call. Be with me in trouble. Satisfy me with long life and show me Your salvation. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
