@ICP_insider 100k is my ideal goal with current prices. It's like fiat though, by time you attain one goal you always feel like you need a higher one. Everyone thinks $1m is all they need until they have it, then they need 2, 3, 10, etc.

I wasn't involved in $ICP at all during that era but I don't think it needed any real insider. The manipulation involved IOUs, so any VC or big early investor colluding with them could have helped to create that. Those investors had great incentive too as artificially low supply essentially guaranteed astronomical prices short term.

Dfinity has some of the smartest people on the planet working with them, yet SBF was able to finesse the launch. I doubt that is possible without some help from the inside, yet no one was ever held accountable. We still technically don’t know what happened there.

@JKim_Tran For me its not really about prestige, it's just that working in the blockchain industry combines my skills and interests in a way that I don't think I could achieve in other industries. Cripples me a bit on job hunts but it helps me ensure I'll be happy with what I'm doing.

Those “I’ve been unemployed for two years now and I used to work at x FAANG company” LinkedIn posts can’t be real, right? Is it because the overall market is really that bad? Or people want to stay in tech for prestige, and not willing to branch out to other industries with their role?

@Icpmusk It seems to be a trend of either: a) they were already disillusioned and feel like this is another kick while down b) they're short sighted and can't see how retaining the current higher APY percentage could yield lower USD returns overall. IMO its a smart move.

I really don't understand why so many ICP stakers oppose Mission 70. I fully support Mission 70 and have staked a large amount of ICP

@Zforever97 Short term 8 year neurons may get shafted on rewards (myself included) however if $ICP becomes deflationary those rewards per day are likely to be higher in the long run, no? I'd rather be earning 30% of the $ICP per day at 5x the value than earning more that's worth less.

$ICP Now just benefits short-term players, changing the agreements we had signed, node providers earning fixed income, and liquid holders are the ones benefiting from this change. 8year neuron holders are the only ones hurt. If this passes, our neurons should be unlocked.

I was a victim in their last breach but luckily using a P.O. box for my address saved me from being fully doxed by it. Years later I needed to order another one and noticed they removed your ability to use P.O. boxes... long story short I have a @Trezor now.
