On 31st March 2026, Shri Sanjay Kumar, Secretary, Department of School Education and Literacy, Ministry of Education launched the Career Cards for Children with Special Needs (CwSN) at Kartavya Bhawan-2, New Delhi. He emphasised the vision of Hon'ble Minister of Education Shri Dharmendra Pradhan ji in implementing the mandate of NEP 2020 through inclusive classrooms. By extending opportunities for equitable career pathways, lifelong learning and active participation in the workforce for CwSN, DoSEL seeks to ensure that no learner is left behind in the journey towards Viksit Bharat. This initiative has been developed by UNICEF in collaboration with Pratham Education Foundation, NCERT, PSSCIVE and National Institutes for Disabilities. Senior officials from the Ministry, autonomous bodies including CBSE, KVS, NCERT, NVS and representatives from UNICEF were present during the launch. The session commenced with a warm welcome by Prof. Indu Kumar, Head Department of ICT & Training Division, CIET–NCERT and National Coordinator, DIKSHA, who presented a comprehensive overview of the meeting agenda. She shared key progress updates and highlights on DIKSHA, including content consumption across various verticals such as tenant-wise e-content usage, AI features in PAL courses, ongoing content cleaning initiatives, the roadmap for DIKSHA courses, and outreach strategies. She emphasized that proactive engagement and timely contributions from States and UTs remain crucial for advancing DIKSHA initiatives and outreach.
