It's hilarious that Disgruntled Pokemon fans never went to have that "itch scratched" with literally any good monster game with unique designs and all the QoL features they've asking for years, instead they gravitated to the only game that has Pokemon from Temu

I used to put hundreds of hours into Pokémon games. Then Nintendo got lazy about development, and the games became increasingly worse with each new release. Pocketpair scratched that itch for us disgruntled Pokémon fans, and it makes you upset for some reason?

As time goes by I think CrossWorlds should have been delayed until 2026
It would have given us SOMETHING for the anniversary, released farther away from MKW and given the team time to add more content to the base game making it worth the 70 dollar price tag

@Devil_Landon The one in ASRT is a starter track for the first cup while the one in SRC is the 2nd race of the 4th cup. ASRT’s version has 2 paths that are useless (the loop and the path at the start with the super pickup) and the final lap is just big open space and that fish has collision

I know Sonic is supposed to go fast but I kinda miss when its focus was platforming too and not just the acrobatics. I... don't really like this direction for sonic. Looks like a racing game more than a platformer.

@KoriMaru These are really good technical tracks but people would just fall like flies cause they don’t know about letting go off the gas when drifting for sharper turns.

Decided to play some Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing after a bit of Crossworlds and man... I forgot how much fun the Super Monkey Ball race tracks were.
I remember many people not liking them as much but for me, I can never get enough of doing sharp turns! It's very satisfying!

I disagree with this wholeheartedly. They need a good budget to improve visuals, animations, manpower, tech, QA and the models. And that’s not even factoring outsourcing and marketing etc etc. Sonic team can have all the time they want but without a budget it’s useless.

Imma be honest I don't think Sonic needs this much financial investment put into its videogames, the problem was never budget in my opinion, but stronger and more confident game design and vision

@PinnacleAraneae Transformed got a decent budget because of ASR doing well but TSR was a case when Sonic was being treated as a budget ip and Sumo had to deal with that restriction. It did do around 3M which is pretty good for a very budget title.

If the game was at most $60 base on release, it would have sold way more. I really wish companies understand the importance of competitive pricing ON RELEASE. They used to do this more.
Also, expecting a racing game to sell like Frontiers is a self inflicted unrealistic goal.

@Demonica0 @MrLag525 Worst part being that Deluxe version is more expensive than World, game should be around a 30-40 dollar game to have some footing. The other scenario which is the worse for them is dropping the price.

@MrLag525 Can't be too surprised by Crossworlds sells cause it released in the wake of Mario Kart World, the irony was that Crossworlds was announced first, but MKW still came out a few months sooner.
Especially for the Japanese audience, they DO NOT care for Sonic that much

Sega has called every game since frontiers a disappointment because they didn’t reach frontiers numbers, they got really high expectations after it’s success
Happened with Superstars and SXSG even though they sold well, and now SRCW

@CloudNinjaEDM It’s probably the Paramount stuff and the brand collabs but I doubt the others like Capcom and Namco cause those ips already collaborated before. Sega was involved with Eva before and the Godzilla comic collab with IDW, I fear that one is gonna be Raw Thrills level design.
