As much as I want Somnia to succeed, this question highlights the main problem: Creating a chain first and then trying to find apps for it. Somnia does not solve a real world problem like Hyperliquid did and all other agentic use cases seem to be too far in the future or esoteric.

So yeah recently looked at Venice and im pretty shocked that Erik Voorhees built @AskVenice with literally the simplest most obvious value proposition which is also kind of THE most valuable proposition EVER: permissionless + private access to AI im actually pretty shocked on how great Venice is, Venice is doing to AI what Ethereum did to finance is my simplest bull case all they need to do is really ramp up marketing to get users Venice has like ~2M users currently even if 1% of openAI weekly 900M active users suddenly give a fuck about privacy on their AI usage, thats another 9 million users which like a 5x for venice they could have some potential future regulatory risks, but we will have to see when it comes to it the vision is super noble

People often imagine #AI trading agents as fully independent genius traders, when in reality, the safest model is probably the opposite. Humans create a strategy, a risk logic, while AI handles execution and monitoring inside very strict boundaries. Things like smart contract restrictions, maximum drawdown per hour, limiting agents to verified protocols make a lot of sense. And honestly, in #DeFi, one bad interaction with the wrong protocol can destroy years of work in minutes. So these guardrails are not optional anymore. I also like the idea that AI should be treated more like an operator rather than a decision maker, because markets are still too complex and maybe even emotional to fully automate without human oversight. The funny thing is - the more serious the institutions become about AI agents, the less freedom those agents will probably have. Which is actually a sign that the industry is maturing. @beaniemaxi I don't think Hyperliquid will give up its independence, especially it won't become a part of Coinbase. But I agree with the rest.

Just remember that every single product that has ended up at Coinbase has died. Due to utter incompetence (the norm at Coinbase) or just to intentionally kill off competition before it permeates. So that's bearmaxxing for Hyperliquid. This opens the door for the next Hyperliquid.

NFTs are moving like they haven't in over a year. Two weeks ago, the case was mostly a 7D bounce across top ETH collections. Now, those moves have turned into 30D breakouts, with volume levels NFTs haven’t seen in a year. For example: > BAYC floors are +60% on the month > Azuki is +35% > Pudgy Penguins are +24% > wallets actively trading on top Ethereum NFT platforms have doubled to ~30K since February > tokenized trading cards are BOOMING, with gacha spending on track to hit a +$211M ATH by month-end > new projects are launching and getting used again: Architectonica, DX Terminal Pro, Heraldia, Inaccessible Worlds, Normies, Panorama, Rilato, To Be a Machine, The Vessel, Wei Name Service The important part is breadth. PFPs are still getting the most attention. But there's also new verticals, new creative experiments, new NFTfi and AI possibilities, and new wallets coming back into action. NONE of this guarantees another mania. But the debate has clearly moved from “is anything happening?” to “how far can this go?”
