Delighted to be given the opportunity to speak at the 4th ministerial meeting on AMR. Where I outlined our research that estimates that there's 28:1 return on investment for treatments to combat resistance.

But I think it's reasonable if someone thinks that Trump would make the situation worse, for them to hold their nose and vote for the less bad outcome.

@JCMorrison74 @LibyaLiberty @ButchRahman There aren't words that capture how beyond horrific what's happening in Gaza is. But that doesn't mean it can't get worse. What food gets in could be cut off, bombing of civilians might increase, the situation may go on longer under Trump than Harris.

@JudithFreedman Thanks for answering. In 🇮🇪, my understanding is a married couple can elect to transfer unused tax credits, and money under a tax band to the higher earner. I’m sure there are complexities and a need for safeguards. But also helps a lot if one person can’t work.

@apmcdonnell I don’t know exactly how it works in Ireland but normally it will disincentivise the second earner. Also how you define household and privacy/ domestic violence issues

Delighted to see that this idea has been dropped- HICBC issues need to be dealt with, but not by introducing new complexities and anomalies and undermining hard won independent taxation.
