I am sad today. A dear friend of my mom who became a dear friend to me passed away unexpectedly yesterday during a medical procedure. We know there are always risks, and she had more than her fair share of health issues, but she really was such a beautiful light for so many people. The world is a darker place today with her absence. Her memory will be a blessing for so many of us. And today I have to go tell my mom she’s gone. She wanted to come see mom after she recovered from her procedure, and it kills me they didn’t get to see each other one more time.

Yes that will kill you be for it kills your loved one. I’m thankful that I had people, not the least of whom was Olivia, helping me understand that I have to put my own mask on first, that I cannot help her if I’m not healthy. So I’ve tried to balance things as best I could. Work is still way behind (vanilla and adult), but soon she will be settled and we will find our new normal, and we will be sad but ok.

I’ve been struggling a lot lately dealing with my mom’s diagnosis but today I got a piece of fantastic news and am just so so thankful. Relieved, joyful and thankful. It’s not a change in diagnosis, but it’s a huge change in where she will be living. At this point, that’s about the best news I could have gotten. 💜🙏💜

@BethMcKenna53 That is the key. When I went through this with my mother I didn’t want to burden anyone and tried to do everything myself and shield the family from the pain. Big mistake. It took a toll that I am still fighting. But please use all the resources you can find.

Oh god Mike it’s awful. She has always been a spitfire, just like her mom was, and to see her not know how to use a knife and fork is just incredibly painful. I’m so thankful for my therapist, and especially for Olivia. My family and hers have been wonderful and supportive. We are so blessed to have loving and caring family and friends in these times.

@BethMcKenna53 Plus you have the not so bad days, the bad days, and the horrible days to contend with. Plus of course you love this person so much and just to see them everyday is so hard on your own mental health

@apmike111 They really are. Having to try to explain to someone who doesn’t understand why they can’t just go home is the worst thing. And then having to do it over and over just kills me.

@BethMcKenna53 I have been through this Beth. And I understand the things like this are a big win in a devestaing time

Her diagnosis is still devastating but if been struggling to find a decent facility with beds available. She was to go to one place day after tomorrow but I got a call about our preferred one this morning. I’m so relieved. I’m working at home today and just keep walking around crying.

Been on the road for the last 5 weeks for work, I am home for a couple days and finally got some riding done. My happy place. Now about to head out on another long work project.

Well I am truly sorry to have to announce that @OliviaLowenXXX and I are having to cancel our trip to Chicago for Exxxotica. We are dealing with my mom having dementia and moving her into a facility permanently. We just cannot leave her right now. I’m so sorry to all the friends we looked forward to seeing, and know that we will sorely miss all the sex we would be having with some amazing people. 🙏💜
