A productive meeting was held today at the AP MSME Development Corporation office with delegates from the World Bank as part of the ongoing RAMP programme. The meeting was graced by the presence of the Hon’ble Minister for MSME, SERP & NRI Empowerment, Government of Andhra Pradesh, along with Shri Vishwa M, CEO, AP MSME Development Corporation, whose leadership and guidance added great value to the discussions. The World Bank conducts a detailed review of the RAMP programme every six months, where its team interacts with key stakeholders at both the Central and State levels, including implementing agencies. As part of this review process, Andhra Pradesh has been selected as one of the states for its visit this year. During the meeting, we discussed the progress of MSME initiatives, the implementation of various programmes, and ways to further strengthen support systems for small businesses in the state. The meeting was attended by Ms Ankita Pandey (IRS), Director, Ministry of MSME, Government of India, along with key representatives from the World Bank and RAMP programme: • Adarsh Kumar, Senior Agribusiness Specialist, Food and Agriculture Global Practice, World Bank • Harsh Jhanjaria, Senior Private Sector Specialist, World Bank • Dr Milan Sharma, Head - National PMU for RAMP • Dr Atul Inamdar, M&E Expert and State Coordinator (Andhra Pradesh) - National PMU for RAMP The interaction gave us a chance to review ongoing efforts, share insights, and discuss ways to strengthen MSME growth, innovation, and the ecosystem in Andhra Pradesh.
