In Tokyo for Japan Internet Week, I thanked the 'Senpai' who pioneered Internet networking in Japan 40 years ago. Their selfless work gave us (probably) humankind’s greatest invention (my take) - the open, free Internet we have today. ありがとうございます!
At #PeeringAsia 6.0. Largest attendance in Peering Asia history. APNIC has our presence here too coming from the technical / network operators community.
Many thanks to Muhammad Arif for being our host!
With @AITI_Brunei Chief Executive Haji Jailani and Katsuyasu Toyama in Jakarta for the ASEAN IX Forum today and Peering Asia tomorrow.
If you're attending, I'd love to connect. #APNIC is proud to support #IXPs as part of our capacity development work.
My first engagement as DG was #SANOG42 in #Islamabad, #Pakistan, where I shared APNIC's commitment to supporting the development of the Internet in the region. Let's deploy #IPv6 to contribute to #DigitalPakistan
My final post here as (now-ex) APNIC DG.

@anurag_bhatia@Cloudflare Their marketing can be overeager to say the least. It took multiple requests to have them desist from repeatedly phoning my mobile, offering webinars of no relevance to me. :-(
While this is an interesting email @Cloudflare and even the site listed in the mail is quite interesting, I must say I have zero relation to that website. Wonder how your marketing mail was sent out to me for this site? :)
Appreciate all the things you’ve done over that last 25+ years for APNIC and for the Internet community.

@farzanehbad Likewise I heard yesterday that Facebook's CDN helps people to access the Internet, which is patently false. It only helps people, who already have access to the Internet, to access Facebook's content. Very different.
"I can talk about [the Internet] for about 9 hours", said #JunMurai at the opening of #APNIC56.
That'd be a great start I reckon, and I'd happily listen.
When in San Francisco I drink @bluebottleroast Because it tastes like actual coffee we get at home - not Starbucks ashy textureless junk. Enjoying one now in San Francisco 😎
"The Internet deserves the @NobelPrize for its service during Covid19" says @apnic@apnicdg@aprigf_official Its functionality, reliability & accessibility taken for granted and under unprecedented pressure, the network delivered - thanks to its many custodians in the tech c'ty
