In Tokyo for Japan Internet Week, I thanked the 'Senpai' who pioneered Internet networking in Japan 40 years ago. Their selfless work gave us (probably) humankind’s greatest invention (my take) - the open, free Internet we have today. ありがとうございます!

@anurag_bhatia @Cloudflare Their marketing can be overeager to say the least. It took multiple requests to have them desist from repeatedly phoning my mobile, offering webinars of no relevance to me. :-(

While this is an interesting email @Cloudflare and even the site listed in the mail is quite interesting, I must say I have zero relation to that website. Wonder how your marketing mail was sent out to me for this site? :)

@farzanehbad Likewise I heard yesterday that Facebook's CDN helps people to access the Internet, which is patently false. It only helps people, who already have access to the Internet, to access Facebook's content. Very different.

@farzanehbad Unfortunately, like quite a number of other industry initiatives, they refer to the "internet" erroneously, or misleadingly. As in...
